Wedding Shower

About a month ago now, my dear friend Sandy from Violette (the elementary school I used to work at) hosted a beautiful wedding shower for me. I worked at Violette for 5 years and loved every minute of it. I loved my job, my students and most of all the staff! Some of the Violette staff has known me since I was just a little girl, since my mom has been at Violette for the last twenty something years!

These are the smartest, most caring, thoughtful, talented group of people I know. And they are damn good teachers too! If I can weasel my way into having my kids go there, I'm so going to do it! Maybe I'll get the hook ups! =)

Here are some pictures from the fun day!

Cat and Rachel drinking it up!

Paula and myself! I was so excited to see Paula! I hadn't seen her in way too long!

Some of the teachers helped out and make some absolutely delicious food for the party! That's one thing I left off of my list of things they are good at! They are all great cooks and for some odd reason they expect me to become a good cook too. HHHMMM we'll see about that! =)

Here I am getting ready to eat some of the great food!

Thanks for the flowers Jackie they were beautiful! And, they just happen to be my favorite type of flower! Don't worry, you all will be seeing a lot of them at the wedding!

These were the awesome cakes Sandy had out for dessert. They were very yummy! Talk about a sugar rush!!

Here are some pictures of the party guests!

This picture is where they try and make me a better cook! I hope it works!

Thank you Sandy for a wonderful shower! I had a wonderful time and it meant so much to me and Lance. We love you and your family so much! I hope that Cathy's wedding goes just as you have planned it! hahahaha

Love,
Suzanne

I'm taking over the world....DisneyWorld that is!

How cool would this be if it we actually true! It would be slight pay back for the 8 years I had to work holidays, birthdays, special events, gradnights and the list goes on and on! =)

At the end you can send it to whomever you would like if you want to!

Love,
Suzanne

Lance's Birthday

On Wednesday I took a half day to go get my wedding dress fitted and also to celebrate Lance's birthday! I've decided I'm in the wrong business and I need to get into the alterations business! My alterations cost me half the total cost of my dress. Completely ridiculous! But, I wasn't about to fall flat on my face walking down the isle so pay the absurd amount of money I did!

Now on to Lance's birthday. When I got home we went down to K-1 Speed. K-1 is a go cart speedway where the go carts go about 45 mph. I bought us both 3 races each, but I only went twice. My daredevil days are past me I guess. I was driving along and this pre-teen girl who was in our heat had spun out around a blind corner. I never saw her, hence the blind corner part. Luckily I was going some what slower because it was a corner, but that crash knocked me around good! The crash didn't faze that little girl. Me, I was done. I had a big bruise along my inner leg that was the same shape as the steering column, a bruise on my neck from the seat belt, and bruises along my side from being josseled around in the go cart. This is why we have to wear these big helmets. I should have turned around at that point! =) For those of you who know Dr. Wilson, he would not have been pleased!

Sitting out the last round I was able to take pictures of Lance as he went around the track. Our little digital camera could not keep up with how fast he was going. I was trying to time it perfectly and it would take so darn long for the thing to take he was already gone when it finally did! Oh, and the lighting was horrible in there! Sorry they are so dark. If you can spot him, he's in the gray shirt and jeans.

The last picture is our dinner at Dukes down in Huntington Beach. It's one of our favorite restaurants and it sits right on the water. Since it was Lance's birthday they gave him a piece of Hula Pie. The best dessert EVER! You can tell he's excited! hahahaha

Hope you had a fun birthday Lance! I love you lots!

Love to everyone!
